In the Kitchen: Cutout Cookies Xmas 2017

We haven’t done an episode for awhile, and Doug and the girls love cutout cookies and it’s two weeks until Christmas so what the hell!

What the hell indeed.  Ok – first, we cheated and used Pillsbury sugar cookie dough premade because, come on, the girls have an attention span of four minutes and Doug’s is only about 5 minutes.  Secondly, a cheat that my Mom and I use because making cutouts and icing them SUCK, is you take store-bought vanilla icing, take off the foil and nuke it in the container for 30 second intervals, generally 3 times, and then just pour over the cookies.  You can color the icing as well.

Then garnish with sprinkles.  Or if you’re a Berkeley girl under the age of 5, you douse the cookies with sprinkles, resulting in a sugar rush of epic proportions.

Oops. Merry Christmas!
